Job Summary
Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint and medications, and administer medications and treatments for physicians specializing in viral, fungal, and bacterial infections. Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education while working part-time, 90% FTE day shifts Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Join the Infectious Disease and Immunology team at UW Health's Magnet®-designated University Hospital in Madison, one of the nation's leading academic medical centers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Licensure as an LPN
- Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program
- Completion of an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
- Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
- Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
- One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year
- Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire (if applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure)
- CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
