Job Summary
Podiatry Medical Assistant will support podiatrists in examining and treating foot and ankle conditions, prepare patients for exams, document medical histories and vital signs, assist during procedures, manage appointments and patient records, educate patients on foot care and orthotics/casts, handle billing and insurance claims, stock supplies, and operate diagnostic equipment (X-ray, MRI) to aid diagnosis. Must be onsite in San Tan Valley, AZ; the role emphasizes hands-on clinical support, patient care, administrative duties, and adherence to safety and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Medical Assisting or relevant field strongly preferred (not explicitly required)
- Proven experience as a medical assistant in a podiatry clinic or similar healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to podiatry
- Proficient in using medical software and patient management systems
