Job Summary
Maintain patient flow by assisting and promoting primary and preventative health care delivery while performing technical procedures and lab protocols under physician direction. Support office efficiencies by collaborating with clerical staff to optimize operations, interact with outside healthcare agencies regarding patient care and insurance, and perform front office duties as needed. Act as a designated new hire preceptor, lead special programs or grants, and manage care processes including primary care gaps identification and outreach. Provide high-level disinfection and serve as a qualified language interpreter or Super User for EPIC systems. Assist with complex procedures and infusion/chemo scheduling within the multi-site float pool.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a competency-based accredited MA program, including a clinical rotation, or equivalent experience
- 1 year (12 months) MA experience; or completed CH MA internship and (6) months MA experience; or completed CH MA apprenticeship program
- 2 years of MA experience
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 30 days from hire
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 30 days from hire
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants within 90 Days
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists within 90 Days
- CRT-Medical Assistant, American Registry (ARMA) - ARMA American Medical Technologists within 90 Days
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing within 90 Days
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National HealthCareer Association within 90 Days
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals within 90 Days
- LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - State of Michigan upon hire
- Completion of MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 30 days from hire
