Job Summary
Interview patients, document care information, and verify medical histories while taking vital signs. Prepare examination rooms and instruments for sterilization, assisting providers with physical exams and procedures. Manage telephone screenings, schedule appointments, and use software for documentation and test orders. Maintain HIPAA-compliant access to protected health information and adhere to clinical guidelines. Work under moderate supervision in outpatient and hospital settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- one to three months' related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Graduated from accredited program
- completed externship
- current CMA / RMA certification
- Perform all CMA / RMA responsibilities, as defined by the job description
- Successfully complete on time all MPG required training
- 1 – 4 years of experience in a clinical setting or patient environment

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
