Medical Assistant III / Clinic LPN

Job Summary
Perform administrative and clinical duties under provider direction, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, taking vital signs, recording medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Maintain proficiency in computer skills and communicate effectively while working independently or collaboratively with team oversight. Obtain American Heart Association BLS certification within 90 days of hire. This role supports CoxHealth's mission to improve community health across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, where the organization operates six hospitals, five ERs, and over 80 clinics.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship
- Graduated with an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma
- Certification from a program recognized by CoxHealth - CMA (AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants) OR RMA (AMT – American Medical Technologist, or American Association of Medical Personnel) OR NCMA (NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing), CCMA (NHA - National Health career Association), NRCMA (NAHP- National Association for Health Professionals )
- LPN
- American Heart Association BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
