Job Summary
Assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine procedures including administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, performing skin tests, and administering oral medication. Conduct venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens while providing technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. Requires a Medical Assistant diploma, high school graduate or GED, and valid BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include CPT 1 phlebotomy certification, California phlebotomist license, four years of experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. Competitive hourly compensation ranges from $27.25 to $32.02 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) matching.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Medical Assistant diploma
- Valid BLS certification or higher following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Certified phlebotomy technician (CPT 1)
- California phlebotomist license
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Bilingual English/Spanish
