Job Summary
Medical Assistant II for a Walk-in Clinic in Roosevelt, UT. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, direct patient care (sterile procedures, wound care, suture/staple removal), administering medications and vaccinations, conducting phlebotomy and EKG testing, specimen handling, comprehensive patient assessments, patient and family education on treatment plans, coordinating referrals and prior authorizations, maintaining clinical readiness and accurate EHR documentation. Requires certified/licensed medical professional with strong clinical proficiency, pharmacology knowledge, and excellent communication to support provider efficiency in an ambulatory setting.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification must be provided upon hire)
- Current national MA Certification from AMT (RMA), NCMA, or CCMA/CMA (AAMA) or current LPN license to practice nursing in the State of Utah
