Job Summary
Performs clinical and administrative duties in Pre-Surgical Testing: assists providers with patient examinations and procedures, takes vital signs and measurements, conducts hearing/vision/ECG testing, performs venipuncture and specimen processing, administers medications and immunizations, communicates with patients professionally, manages clinical supplies and inventory, serves as a preceptor for new staff, and cross-trains as a patient service representative as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification or registration (CMA, RMA, CCMA or ABR-OE) by AAMA, NHA or AMT is required
- BLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintained during employment
