Job Summary
Medical Assistant II in Orthopedic Surgery Clinic at The Medical Center. Provides patient care and customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting; assists with coordination of flow and provider schedules, patient registration, and management of patient flow to minimize wait times. Supports non-financial aspects of inpatient admission, assists with escorts and paperwork, collects and documents biophysical/psychosocial data, and ensures requisitions have complete clinical, demographic, billing, and payor information. Respiratory fit testing required. 2 years related experience required; certifications such as CCMA, CMA-AAM, EMT variants, LIC PAR, NCMA, NRCMA, or RMA accepted. Full-time daytime role based in Houston, TX.
