Job Summary
Provides clinical and clerical support to providers and members of the patient care team in the Neurosurgery department by performing a variety of back-office and patient-related tasks, assisting with the medical plan of care, coordinating workflow, and communicating with patients and families. Performs duties under clinician supervision and leverages knowledge of vital signs, injections, basic medical terminology, EHR (electronic health record) systems, and general office procedures to support high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Completion of course of study for Medical Assistants (as per Medical Board of California) or Sutter Health training program or equivalent on-the-job training
