Job Summary
Medical Assistant II in a fast-growing multi-specialty clinic (Cardiology, Orthopedics, Nephrology, and more). You will work closely with providers and another MA to deliver patient care, room patients (vitals, med rec, histories), perform EKGs and heart-monitor placements, manage Cerner EMR pools, and assist providers and patients throughout the day. Role is 75% clinical and 25% administrative, with opportunities for cross-training across 10+ specialties and MA career ladder progression. Requires 1–2+ years MA experience preferred and current medical assisting certification; high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program. Under supervision, you will ensure accurate procedures, registrations, scheduling, and timely referrals, with precepting responsibilities as needed and potential for additional certifications as dictated by unit/department.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification in medical assisting required (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, CMAC)
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA required
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required
- AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required
