Job Summary
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care, chart management, and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks, routine office testing, and assists with procedures and minor surgical procedures. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and certification, along with two to three years of medical assisting experience. CPR certification and skill in venipuncture are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Two to three years medical assisting and medical office experience
- CPR certification is required
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in venipuncture
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
