Medical Assistant II

Medical Assistant II supports healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services under supervision. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording in the patient’s medical record, interviewing patients to obtain medical information, explaining procedures and meds, assisting with rooming patients, preparing equipment, scheduling and coordinating patient flow, answering phones, processing insurance forms, and performing phlebotomy and immunizations as applicable. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care, provides education materials to reinforce patient education, and acts as liaison with other departments to advocate for patients.
