Job Summary
Medical Assistant II at Providence Portland Medical Center supports patient care under a licensed practitioner's delegation, performs all MA I duties, and demonstrates competence in clinical needs for the assigned clinic/location. The role is full-time with a day shift on both weekdays and weekends, emphasizing adherence to established policies and procedures while contributing to a patient-focused, whole-person care culture.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants OR graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant with clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medication administration)
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
Desired Qualifications
- National Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
- BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
