Job Summary
Medical Assistant II in Hematology/Oncology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Greensboro Medical Plaza), full-time. Responsibilities include patient rooming and vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, lab processing and venipuncture, POCT and CLIA-waived testing, vaccine administration, patient communication, scheduling, referrals, and support for providers. Requires MA program graduation, certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NHA/NHCWA/NRMA/NRMA/NAHP etc.), BLS, and competency assessment. Strong teamwork, communication, and EMR skills are essential; ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and lift up to 35 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) may be required within 1 year in select areas
- Successful completion of Atrium Health’s competency assessment
- Current Medical Assistant certification from CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NHCWA/NRMA/NRMA/NCMSMA/NAHP/etc.
