Job Summary
Medical Assistant II/Fertility Assistant supporting healthcare teams by assisting with clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, interviewing patients, preparing examination rooms, performing phlebotomy when competent, collecting specimens, immunizations where applicable, and handling administrative duties such as scheduling, insurance forms, and patient education; collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care and maintain patient flow.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree
- Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
- Experience: Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software
- Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, collect blood samples and other specimens
