Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant II at CleanSlate Centers, you will prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals, perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing, and administer injections per provider direction. Responsibilities include assisting with prescription management, supporting outreach efforts for appointment reminders and patient follow-up, managing lab and PPE supplies, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR. You'll collaborate with front desk and lab teams while upholding safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program
- 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy
- Willingness to train on injections if not already proficient
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus
- Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office
