Job Summary
Medical Assistant II Cardiology at Corewell Health overseeing clinical activities in outpatient cardiology clinics. Under management and physician leadership, duties include maintaining patient flow, performing technical procedures, lab protocols, and clinically oriented activities under physician direction. Supports office efficiencies and operating policies to ensure smooth clinic operations while promoting customer satisfaction and supporting physicians, clinic staff, and management in a Service First culture. Requires completion of an accredited MA program with clinical rotation or equivalent experience, HS diploma, and 6 months of MA experience (2-3 years preferred) plus relevant certifications (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/ARMA) or LPN license. BLS certification within specified timelines. Primary responsibilities include assisting with primary and preventive care delivery, executing clinical procedures, and contributing to efficient clinic workflow.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited MA program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience
- 6 months of relevant MA experience
- 2-3 years of MA experience or equivalent
- CRt-BLS within 30 days from hire or CMA/RMA/ARMA/NCMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/ARMA within 90 days
- Possession of an MA certification/licensure as applicable (CMA, RMA, ARMA, NCMA, CCMA, NHA, AMT, CMA, CMA- or LPN- upon hire) or LPN license
- Ability to promote patient flow and assist in primary and preventative care
- Ability to perform technical procedures and lab protocols under physician/provider direction
