Job Summary
Room patients, prepare charts, and assist with clinical procedures as directed by providers. Manage the inbox, answer patient calls, and conduct outreach for preventive care reminders. Process medication refills, handle prior authorizations, and scan documents into the electronic medical record system. Perform quality control checks on equipment, maintain the autoclave, and ensure adequate medical supplies and inventory. Support triage processes, execute standing orders, and complete check-out duties including follow-up scheduling. Float to different sites as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
- Experience in working with Primary Care, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Geriatrics
- Dependability

- Knowledge of accepted procedures for disposing of used supplies
- Ability to communicate effectively and congenially with patients and staff members in person, via email and over the phone
- Ability to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgement when interacting with patients and staff members
- Ability to observe the general physical condition of patients to detect signs of abnormalities
- Ability to record observations and notes completely, accurately, literately, and concisely
- Computer skills
- Ability to accept supervision and feedback
- Monday-Friday *8am-5pm
Desired Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification/CPR certification
- Bilingual Spanish
- Experience in working with Primary Care, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Geriatrics
