Job Summary
Medical Assistant I supports multispecialty primary care by rooming patients, interviewing/updating chief complaints and medical history, taking vitals, preparing charts, scanning documents, managing referrals and authorizations, assisting physicians in exams and wound care, following up on calls, educating patients on DI, labs, referrals, and procedures, scheduling follow-ups, and traveling to other CLS Health locations. Strong bilingual communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential; proficiency with medical terminology, insurance billing, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Must be bilingual
- Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
