Job Summary
Medical Assistant I in Otolaryngology ENT at Nemours Children’s Hospital Lake Mary, FL. PART-TIME role with travel to other locations. The Medical Assistant coordinates patient flow, reviews charts for current information, ensures appropriate paperwork accompanies the patient to the room, enters pertinent history, serves as a liaison between patient/family and care team, acts as a resource and cross-covers as needed, and serves as a trainer/mentor to new associates. Requires entry-level medical assistant training; certification options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA; AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire; basic clinical and administrative skills; travel to multiple sites in the region.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Certification preferred CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA
- American Heart Association BLS Certification within 90 days of hire date
- Basic clinical and administrative skills
- No prior experience required
