Job Summary

Greet patients, maintain medical records, and triage requests to providers or emergency protocols. Perform clinical duties including vital signs, point-of-care testing, medication administration, and sterilization procedures. Schedule diagnostic tests, prepare rooms for procedures, and manage inventory and equipment. Collaborate on insurance forms, appointments, and billing tasks while responding to flags and supporting RN leads. Complete quarterly lab proficiency testing, annual competency assessments, and patient education. Maintain crash cart compliance and attend staff meetings. Float between clinics as required to prioritize patient access.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical assistant training (school or on the job training, proof of education)
  • BLS certification/training and certification
  • Knowledgeable about emergency calls and maintains current CPR
  • Completes and passes annual competency assessments
  • Floating is a requirement of all MA levels to assist in prioritizing patient care and access as needed
  • Ability to complete all the duties and responsibilities outlined in step I & II beyond immediate supervision
  • Comply with all CLIA, AAHC, and other certifying or accrediting agency regulations and standards

Desired Qualifications

  • One-year medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of equipment and technology used in the nursing area
  • Sensitivity to low income, vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work as a team member, maintains a professional relationship and positive attitude with other
  • Displays enthusiasm toward the work and the mission of the organization
