Job Summary
Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures, including vital signs, PPD, height/weight, and temperature checks. Perform audiometric, pulmonary function, tonometry, and vision testing; conduct 12-lead EKGs and draw blood for lab tests, prioritizing stat specimens for immediate Control Center Lab submission. Administer drug, alcohol, and Alco-sensor screenings per protocol, managing positive results and calibration checks. Maintain organized, safe work areas and prepare charts for physician review. Available for flexible Monday through Friday schedules, weekends, and night shifts, including on-call rotations for third-week screenings.
Required Qualifications
- BLS card
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of completion from a Medical Assistant Program
- 0-1 Year Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy or EKG experience - or equivalent
- Must be available to work on call, evenings and weekends to perform drug and alcohol screenings every third week depending on departmental needs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
