Job Summary
Review charts before clinic sessions to flag pending health maintenance and treatment issues, arrange follow-up appointments, and monitor patient panels for preventive measures. Coordinate clinic sessions, assist providers during procedures, and administer vaccines, injections, and medications as directed. Collect blood samples, perform venipunctures, conduct on-site laboratory services, and instruct patients on specimen collection. Document all activities, communicate inventory needs, and actively respond to daily calls. Maintain a clean, stocked, and safe work environment while adhering to all policies and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Bilingual, Spanish English
- Minimum (1) one year experience working in a clinical environment
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- CPR or BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with HIV-positive patients
- Experience working in a Latino community or underserved populations
- Pediatric and adult phlebotomy
