Medical Assistant I

Perform vital signs, EKGs, vision tests, and venipuncture while assisting with patient triage and routine examinations. Stock examination rooms, maintain medical records and reports, and manage clinical administrative tasks such as calling patients, mailing letters, and faxing referrals. Order medications, vaccines, and supplies; check emergency box and refrigerator temperatures; and provide health counseling, including HIV counseling. Adhere to infection control policies and coordinate with the health care team to ensure high-quality patient services.
