Job Summary
Room patients, document vitals and information in the EMR, and perform basic tests, procedures, and vaccinations. Prepare exam rooms with required equipment, maintain cleanliness, and report low stock levels. Assist providers with examinations, answer and route phone calls, and support scheduling, check-ins, and chart management. Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols while performing basic clerical tasks like filing and scanning. Requires CMA or RMA certification and BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- Completion of accredited medical Assistant program
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
Desired Qualifications
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification for healthcare providers with hands on component preferred or within 60 days of hire
- Previous experience in a Primary Care office setting
- Athena EMR experience
