Medical Assistant I - Ambulatory & Outpatient

Medical Assistant I in Ambulatory & Outpatient. Responsibilities include preparing and rooming patients with vital signs and health information, assisting physicians/APP with procedures (e.g., pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, colposcopy), performing routine laboratory procedures and phlebotomy, administering routine medications under orders or approved protocols, coordinating referrals and patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic flow. Requires knowledge of infection control, aseptic technique, communication with the healthcare team, and age-appropriate patient care. Licensure/certification: BLS and an MA certification from CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA (or equivalent); Education: HS diploma or GED plus graduation from an accredited MA program. Experience: 1 year preferred.
