Job Summary
Medical Assistant – Primary Care role in Asheville, NC. Responsibilities include welcoming and rooming patients, taking vitals and updating histories, supporting providers during visits, performing phlebotomy and basic lab work, administering vaccines and screenings (within certification), coordinating follow-up care, referrals, and diagnostics, answering patient questions, preparing and stocking exam rooms, and maintaining a clean, safe clinic environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience, BLS/CPR certification, and comfort using EMR systems. Bonus points for phlebotomy or primary care experience; CMA/RMA certification encouraged. Schedule is Monday–Friday (8am–5pm) with no weekends, offers full benefits and quarterly bonuses; salary $20–$24/hour based on experience/location, plus $1,500 sign-on and other benefits.
Required Qualifications
