Job Summary
Greets patients professionally, takes vital signs, and reviews medical history to prepare individuals for provider examinations. Obtains records, performs in-house lab tests, immunizations, and rapid HIV testing, then submits results and completes documentation accurately. Provides assistance during physical exams and specialty procedures while maintaining unit supplies and entering data into patient records. Works independently with minimal supervision, adhering to a schedule that includes on-call rotation as assigned. Requires a high school diploma, Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification, and one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Medical Assistant
- Certification in CPR
- Minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and a self-starter with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
