Job Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering quality care to patients and performing various clinical tasks in a medical clinic environment. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, preparing examination rooms, recording vital signs, assisting in immunizations and lab tests, maintaining patient confidentiality, performing quality control tests, and ensuring proper documentation in the EMR. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and preferably hold a State of Florida MA/CNA certification. Additionally, Spanish fluency and phlebotomy experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS Certificate from an accredited AHA or American Red Cross provider
- State of Florida MA/ CNA Certification (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Spanish fluency
- Phlebotomy experience
- One year of medical office, clinic, or hospital experience
