Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a cardiology outpatient clinic setting responsible for patient care under the clinician's direction, gathering relevant visit information, and communicating with patients via telephone and in-person. Works with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care, and maintains attention to detail and follow-through to support high-quality care. Requires MA program completion or MA experience or active RN/LPN license in Utah, plus BLS and basic computer skills; applicable MA certifications (RMA/NCMA/CCMA/CMA) preferred. Clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm with 36 hours/week Full Time in Logan, UT at Budge Clinic. The role emphasizes safeguarding patient privacy and PHI, proficiency with EMR systems, and collaboration within a healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
