Job Summary
Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies, ensuring all rooms are cleaned and stocked at the end of the day. Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and procedure understanding to make notes in EMA, while ensuring MIPS information is consistently and accurately completed. Assist with scheduling patient tests and treatments, support front desk operations by answering phones, and help determine reception needs. Assist dermatology providers during surgical procedures such as excisions, Mohs surgery, and cosmetic treatments. Clean and perform spore testing on the autoclave, check medication expiration dates, and maintain records of date checks. Keep the biopsy book, slides, and pathology reports up to date, recording results in patient charts and processing prescription refills per established procedures. Manage the pathology and culture log with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service skills or a patient-centered mindset
- Previous Dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics experience
- Knowledgeable with insurance carriers (i.e., Medicare, commercial, HMO)
- EClinicalWorks, EMA, or other EMR software
- COVID-19 primary series vaccination
- Eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify)
