Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant in a dermatology group providing patient care across surgical, medical, and cosmetic dermatology services. Responsibilities include preparing exam/treatment rooms and supplies, reviewing patient history and procedures in EMA, completing MIPS information, scheduling tests and treatments, assisting providers during surgical procedures (e.g., excisions, Mohs surgery, cosmetic procedures), supporting front desk operations, autoclave sterilization and record maintenance, monitoring medication expirations, processing prescription refills with authorization as needed, maintaining pathology and culture logs, multitasking to ensure timely completion of duties, and supporting clinic operations as directed by the Practice Manager. Helpful skills include customer service, dermatology or healthcare experience, knowledge of insurance carriers, and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks/EMA).
