Job Summary
Medical Assistant performs frontline patient care and administrative duties in a CenterWell Senior Primary Care clinic. Responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, conducting screening tests, sterilizing equipment, maintaining exam rooms, documenting in electronic records, and collaborating with providers within certification limits. Role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, TB screening, and 40-hour work week at the Mesa, AZ location; reports to Center Administrator; includes a $2,000 new-clinic joining bonus for Phoenix area clinics in 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Complete MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience with approval from Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certification
- TB screening (must be screened for TB if selected)
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- 1+ years MA experience
- Value-based care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (must pass proficiency exam)
