Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides support to Medical Providers and Radiologic Technologists, handling patient care management, registration, insurance verification, coordination of referrals, preparing patients for examinations, conducting point of care testing (vital signs, ECG, urinalysis, etc.), and maintaining exam rooms and medical records. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuity of care, and delivering high-quality, efficient patient experiences in an urgent care setting. Essential functions include patient registration, scheduling, inventory management, answering questions, assisting providers, maintaining QA/QC logs, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under licensed supervisor within the last 3 years preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
- One of CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMA WA/CA-specific variants as applicable
- EMT/ CNA / MA licensure variants as applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- BLS certification at hire (ARC/AHA) or equivalent
