Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed in urgent care centers to register patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and perform clinical tasks. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording medical history, conducting point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG), assisting providers with patient care, maintaining exam rooms and medical records, and supporting a safe, organized clinical environment. Must meet BLS, and candidates without MA certification must obtain one within 15 months of hire; multiple MA certifications are accepted as alternatives. Sign-on bonus up to $2,000 for eligible applicants. The role emphasizes delivering an effortless patient experience in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
- BLS certification required at time of hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
