Job Summary
Medical Assistant role in urgent care centers supporting patient care and front-desk functions. Responsibilities include registering patients, verifying insurance, scheduling, measuring vital signs, preparing patients for examination, conducting point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG), assisting providers with patient care and procedures, maintaining exam rooms and medical records, and coordinating referrals. Requires high school diploma and MA program training or certification; BLS certification required; various MA certifications accepted (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or equivalent experience; CPOE certification within two weeks of start date. Opportunities include monthly incentive pay and work in over 250+ centers nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma required; Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred
- BLS certification required at time of hire
- MA certifications accepted: CCMA CMA RMA NCMA NRCMA or equivalent; in lieu, 1+ years MA experience or graduate nursing program accepted; CPOE certification within two weeks of start
