Job Summary
Provides clinical and clerical support in GI endoscopy workflows within the department, including direct patient contact, maintaining office systems, and assisting in clinical procedures. Requires Medical Assistant certification and CPR, with 3-5 years of experience in an administrative/medical setting. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, transcription, and strong typing. Demonstrated maturity to work with terminally ill patients, excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities, and flexibility for possible weekends/evenings. Health-system environment experience with Care New England and affiliated institutions is noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certification
- 3-5 years experience in administrative/medical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
