Job Summary
Medical Assistant role supporting Neuro department at Geneva Medical Campus. Responsibilities include clinical support (pre-visit planning, obtaining vital signs, documenting history and screenings, assisting providers and nursing staff during procedures, maintaining exam rooms and equipment), patient education under provider guidance, patient flow and administrative duties (check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, MyCare sign-up), and team support (medical records abstraction/scanning, data compilation for quality improvement, payments and charge entry). Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree, Medical Assistant Certification, and experience in frail or elderly populations.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- 2 years of pre-hospital care activities or acute/critical care experience preferred
- Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills
- For Elder ONE Employment: 1 year experience with frail, elderly population preferred
