Medical Assistant--Gastroenterology

Schedule diagnostic tests, obtain films and reports, and prepare laboratory specimens according to policy. Assist physicians and nurses with special procedures and examinations, while collaborating with the health care team to coordinate patient care plans. Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures, and document all findings in medical records. Maintain examination room cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure equipment logs are completed. Greet patients, handle registration, and process insurance forms while ensuring accurate data entry for completed procedures. Submit prescriptions and refills electronically, and maintain orderliness of assigned areas. Full-time position requiring BLS certification and Medical Assistant program completion.
