Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. Obtain vital signs, administer injections, and perform medication administration while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Complete required certifications including Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire and National Provider BLS within 30 days. This role supports the largest not-for-profit health care system in the greater Puget Sound area, focusing on improving the wellbeing of rural and urban communities through primary and specialty care locations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant
- Ability to obtain vital signs
- Ability to administer injections
- Ability to administer medication
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
