Job Summary
Medical Assistant to assist providers with exams, procedures and other processes to meet patient needs: triaging patients, measuring vitals, recording charts; blood draws/venipuncture and lab work; administering medications and immunizations under provider direction; setting up procedures; preparing treatment rooms and guiding patients from waiting room to exam rooms; checking in/out, verifying insurance, and collecting payments. Requires MA/EMT/paramedic/RMA/CMA designation or equivalent experience, or HS with 6 months MA experience, or CNA with phlebotomy experience; BLS certification; ability to pass AHCA background screening.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A only), Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or another relevant program; or possesses active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation; or High School diploma or GED AND 6 months MA experience; or licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
- Graduation from Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or other relevant program; or active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); or HS diploma with 6 months MA experience; or licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience; or phlebotomy certification with 6 months of phlebotomy experience; or 1 year of experience where phlebotomy is primary function
