Medical Assistant (Full Time)

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Newport Beach - Avocado Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Dermatology experience is required. Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours with availability Monday through Friday within 8:00am - 5:00pm. Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures; assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines. Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps. Prep rooms before and after patients, check equipment, and ensure proper working order. Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed. Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA/GM of low supplies. Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment. Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities. Dermatology and healthcare experience required; EMR software and patient scheduling systems experience preferred. Must be computer savvy with Word/Excel/Outlook and strong communication and patient-service skills. Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.
