Job Summary
Teach medical assisting courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor. Prepare and grade written and practical examinations. Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College. Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Salary is $48,000. Candidates must have two years of in-field medical assisting experience and obtain CCMA certification within 75 days of employment. High school diploma required; degree, diploma, or certificate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in the medical assisting field
- Minimum of two years of work experience in the medical assisting field (with diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Minimum of three years of work experience in the medical assisting field (without diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Successful completion of High School, its equivalent, or a state-authorized examination certificate
- CCMA certification within 75 days of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or diploma training program
- Willingness to take the CCMA exam if not certified
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the field
