Job Summary
Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare individuals for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs such as throat and urine cultures, irrigate wounds, and assist with quality control testing. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, respond to emergencies by notifying the medical team, and provide exceptional customer service while protecting patient confidentiality. Follow policies and procedures to support office operations and patient care within the physician's direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
