Job Summary
Triage patients, measure vitals, and record information on charts. Perform blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work completion. Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction. Set up procedures as instructed and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. Check patients in and out, verify insurance, and collect payments. Requires Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic program graduation or relevant certification; BLS certification and Level II background screening clearance mandatory. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program
- Active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation
- 6 months of experience in a relevant environment
- Licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification and 6 months of verifiable experience with Phlebotomy
- 1 year of verifiable experience in a role where phlebotomy is the primary function
- Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic
- BLS certification
- Ability to pass a Level II background screening and clearance through AHCA
