Job Summary
Greet and register patients, obtain medical histories and vital signs, and prepare individuals for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs, including throat and urine cultures, while irrigating wounds and assisting with procedures. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and safety protocols are followed. Respond to patient emergencies by notifying the medical team and manage complaints through active service recovery. Support primary patient care under physician supervision while maintaining confidentiality and following all policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
