Job Summary
Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare individuals for X-rays while performing routine labs such as throat and urine cultures. Assist with wound irrigation, quality control testing, and emergency patient care by notifying the medical team. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, ensure supply stock, and follow safety protocols and policies. Support providers with procedures including splint application and assist in other medical tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
