Medical Assistant position (full-time, 40 hrs/wk) at Bronson Pediatrics in Kalamazoo. Under the provider’s direction, perform general nursing functions, record vital signs and immunizations, conduct initial patient assessments and history gathering, educate patients and families, and support providers with chart documentation and routine testing. Responsibilities include documenting in EMR, coordinating procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining confidentiality while interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. Requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program with CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or eligibility to obtain CMA/RMA within 6 months, and BLS within 90 days. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a care team are essential, along with familiarity with clinical skills, documentation standards, and routine clinical workflows.
