Job Summary
Register patients, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while performing vital signs, point-of-care testing, and preliminary assessments. Assist providers with procedures, maintain exam rooms and equipment, and coordinate referrals in a safe, patient-centered environment. Complete opening and closing duties, answer patient questions, and manage medical records accurately. This full-time role supports urgent care centers offering 365-day access across 250+ locations, with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting
- CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)
- CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals)
- RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists, or AAH, American Allied Health, or ARMA American Registry of Medical Assistants)
- NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
- NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license)
- EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
- Paramedic (verified through state certification and/or and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
- CPOE certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association)
